Info for Undeclared Students
Ìý
The Academic Advisors at the Student Success Center work collaboratively with students
to help you explore and ultimately develop and achieve academic goals. We see choosing
UndeclaredÌý as a chance to investigate, learn, and find the rightÌý path to your future!
You will work with advisors to match your interests and abilities to majors at ÍøÆØÃÅ.
Keeping an open mind to potential areas of interest while actively exploring potential
majors is very beneficial for some students.
Ìý
- Students considering a change in major and in need of assistance in determining new
options can meet with an Academic Advisor in the SSC to identify appropriate courses
and major(s) to fulfill academic and career goals.
- A significant portion of the requirements (in all majors) for a bachelor’s degree
is the set of general courses referred to as the university core curriculum. Early
completion of core courses allows you to make progress toward completing your degree
requirements and to explore subject areas that can assist you in choosing a major
or a career.
- The SSC also informs students about academic policies and procedures, university enrichment
opportunities, and university support services.
- The SSC makes appropriate referrals to other campus resources.
