The History Program offers classes both on-campus and online. GoGrad.org recently ranked 网曝门鈥檚 online history M.A. as #11 in the country.

Residential graduate students may apply for assistantships.

The program prepares students to become professional historians. M.A. students learn how to conduct and present research in print and digital formats for academic conferences.

Residential students may choose either the thesis or non-thesis track.

The thesis option requires that a student write a thesis under the direction of a member of the program faculty and conduct an oral defense of the thesis.

The non-thesis track requires that students successfully complete 30 hours in history and pass comprehensive examinations.

Online students may not take the thesis option.
