ÍøÆØÃÅ Biology Graduate student wins award at a Research Symposium
Biology graduate student Gannon Malone was recognized for having the top oral presentation at the Louisiana Association of Professional Biologists/Louisiana Chapter of The Wildlife Society Fall Meeting and Research Symposium held October 5-6, 2023, in Lafayette, LA. Graduate students from all colleges and universities in Louisiana were invited to present their research on natural resources. Gannon presented a portion of his thesis research entitled "Characterization of Vegetation Use by American Woodcock on Wintering Grounds in North Louisiana." He received a special Natural Resources Management Association award and a $500 Lifetime Louisiana Hunting and Fishing License.

ÍøÆØÃÅ biology student awarded research grant
ÍøÆØÃÅ Biology undergraduate Subash Sapkota was awarded a research grant from the Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) National Biological Honor Society. Sapkota, a native of Nepal, is a double major in Biology and Mathematics at ÍøÆØÃÅ and is a member of the ÍøÆØÃÅ Honors Program.
