How long does the program take?
Both thesis and non-thesis students are required to complete a minimum of 33 hours
of graduate coursework plus two seminar classes. Some students complete the degree
in two years; however, students engaged in extensive field research will finish in
three.
What is the difference between thesis and non-thesis students?
Students enrolled in the thesis option are required to complete a research project,
and must write and defend a thesis. Non-thesis students are required to take the Research
Methods course to gain exposure to the research process.
Why do I need a faculty adviser/sponsor?
Every student must have a faculty adviser/sponsor to ensure they are given accurate
advising, degree plans, and guidance throughout their studies at ÍøÆØÃÅ. This is particularly
important for students in the thesis option, as your adviser will guide you through
the research project and the writing of your thesis.
