Crimes of the Heart was written by Beth Henley. They also try to figure out how to save each other as a family, find themselves again, and try to get out from under their overbearing Granddaddy.

鈥淚 am truly excited to make my 网曝门 Directing debut with Crimes of the Heart", said Director, Steven Burnside. 鈥淚t has been a joy working with this group of student actors for the first time in this role. I can't wait to bring this story to you, as an audience, and take you on a journey through the lives of the Magrath family in the small town of Hazelhurst, Mississippi.鈥

This show is considered to be a dark comedy. While it is warm-hearted and quite funny in many moments, it deals with many serious subjects such as suicide, abuse, both mental and physical, alcoholism, and relationships. Each character commits their own "crime of the heart" at some point, as we all do, whether we realize it or not. What matters is how we react and deal with that crime, for ourselves as well as those around us.
