网曝门 Gerontology program will present a free virtual education and training program on Parkinson鈥檚 Disease Management from 8:30 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, Oct. 14.

The two, four-hour sessions are via Zoom, and the link will be provided upon registration. To register, e-mail Anita Sharma, Ph.D., at听asharma@ulm.edu. Sharma is director of 网曝门 Gerontology and project director for the Parkinson鈥檚 training.

A Parkinson's Foundation Community Grant funds the program. Anyone whose life has been touched by Parkinson鈥檚 is welcome to participate. Certificates of completion will be available upon request.
听
Parkinson鈥檚 Disease is a neurodegenerative disorder causing tremors, difficulty walking, balance problems, and other issues. The disease is progressive, and there is no cure. Medical options vary, including surgery and medications.
听
鈥淚t is important to educate the patients, their formal and informal caregivers, families, and the general community about the diagnosis, prognosis, symptoms, and treatments for Parkinson鈥檚 Disease so that we can improve the quality of life of patients,鈥 Sharma said.
