James Adams, executive director of LCF, presented the check to Blaylock and Bailes and mentioned the monies were specifically given to the Theresa Marsala endowment fund. A fund created in 2009 in memoriam of Marsala, a graduate and ardent supporter of the School of Nursing, a leader in the healthcare community, and a past president of the LCF.
Bailes explained that the fund will be used by the School of Nursing to create an endowed professorship that will in turn assist both faculty and staff.
鈥淥n behalf of the College of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences, we are proud and fortunate to be able to provide so many healthcare professionals, both locally and state-wide who are working to find a cure for cancer,鈥 said Blaylock.
This is not the first time LCF has donated to the Theresa Marsala endowment fund, and they intend to continue with support in the future.
The Kitty DeGree School of Nursing was founded in 1960, and has a 100% job placement rate for all of its graduates.听鈥淭he Louisiana Cancer Foundation has shown their confidence in what we do here at 网曝门 to prepare students to be exceptional health care professionals,鈥 said 网曝门 President Dr. Nick J.
