The scholarship, totaling $1,200, covers Bettencourt鈥檚 travel and conference-related expenses. Bettencourt was one of five students in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, South-Central region to be selected for the honor.
Conference attendees will learn about multiple sclerosis and network with healthcare professionals and other students.
According to the conference site, the content of the meeting includes state-of-the-art information on the latest treatments, research, models of care, epidemiology, genetics, and much more.
The conference covers various objectives for various stages and varieties of careers in the field, including: cognitive development, comprehensive care, disease management, nursing, rehabilitation, and development.
