UPDATE:

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will close, and all classes will be canceled due to inclement weather onThursday, March 5.ÌýNormal operations and classes will resumeÌýFriday, March 6.Ìý

Schulze Cafeteria will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. onMarch 5.

The ÍøÆØÃÅ Library and the Activity Center will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on March 5.

The pedestrian bridge will be closed.

Employees who are needed to report to campus will be contacted by their supervisors.

Students, faculty, and staff are urged to be safe during the severe weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 p.m., March 4 (tonight), until 9 a.m., March 5 (Thursday), for most of North Louisiana.ÌýUniversity of Louisiana at Monroe officials will monitor the weather overnight and will release a statement at 6 a.m., if closure for Thursday is deemed necessary.

Students, faculty, and staff are asked to monitor their ÍøÆØÃÅ email accounts, ÍøÆØÃÅ social media, and the ÍøÆØÃÅ websiteÌý / concerning any alterations to the regular schedule.

During campus closures, or when the ÍøÆØÃÅ schedule is altered, students, faculty, and staff may receive a notice from the Warhawk Alert System if they are registered with that system.

Students, faculty, and staff may register for Warhawk Alert, or make contact changes to their current accounts by visitingÌý/ens/
