Tickets on sale for ÍøÆØÃÅ fall production Orpheus in the Underworld

The School of Visual and Performing Arts and ÍøÆØÃÅ Opera present Orpheus in the Underworld on Thursday, Oct. 30th and Friday, Oct. 31st, at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

The operetta is based on the classic Greek tale of Orpheus, the loss of his wife Eurydice, and his efforts to bring her back to earth after making a plea to the gods for her return. 

The script for this comedy is original, with music by Jacques Offenbach and stars Amy Matherne, Nathanael Medlin, Daniel Zeagler, Julian Jones, and McKenna Giovingo.

Also performing roles are Karlie Stuckey, Sierra Ethridge, Brandon Banks, Elizabeth Neuberger, Hannah Bryan, Naomi Naquin, and Benjamin Thoms. Also cast are Joseph Griffith, Sydney Davis, Miranda Gonzales, Charleszette Tyson, Davionne Lee, Tonelia Brown, Antoinette Jenkins, and Emily Clack.

The show is conducted by Deborah Chandler and directed by Mark Ross Clark.  Admission is free for ÍøÆØÃÅ students with valid ID, and $5 for ÍøÆØÃÅ staff and faculty. General admission is $15.
