网曝门 to host New Orleans Marine Band Wednesday

The Marine Corps Band of New Orleans will hold a special performance at the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in 网曝门鈥檚 Brown Auditorium. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

According to their website, the Marine Corps Band New Orleans was established October 1, 1978. Under the control of Marine Forces Reserve, the unit is comprised of active duty Marines stationed at the Marine Corps Support Facility in New Orleans.

Each year the musicians travel throughout the United States, performing more than 250 concerts, parades, and ceremonies, entertaining over 6 million people. The band is composed of a ceremonial and concert band, jazz combo, and brass and woodwind quintets. The band supports all units of the Fourth Marine Aircraft Wing, Fourth Marine Division, Marine Logistics Group and Marine Corps Reserve Support Command.

Additionally, these Marines are often called upon to provide musical entertainment in support of the Marine Corps Recruiting and community relations programs. The band also performs annually in local Mardi Gras galas and parades.
