Kiersten Robertson crowned Miss 网曝门 2014

Kiersten Robertson, a freshman pre-dental hygiene听major from Leesville, was crowned Miss University of Louisiana at Monroe at the 61st Annual Miss 网曝门 Pageant held Oct. 1, in front of a packed house at Brown Auditorium.

Robertson鈥檚 platform is 鈥淐onfidence Coalition鈥 and her talent is jazz dance. She also received the lifestyle and fitness preliminary award.

First runner-up was Jo鈥 Hilliard of Baton Rouge, who was also named preliminary interview winner. Second runner-up was Lauren Ford of Monroe. Ford also received the People鈥檚 Choice Award and the preliminary talent and evening gown awards. Third runner-up was Ellie Jackson of Monroe, and fourth runner-up was Sarah Mouk of West Monroe.

Makeva Armant of New Orleans won the Advertisement Sales Award; Candice Johnson of Keller, Texas won the Miss Congeniality Award; and Kaitlynn Frey of Fort Wayne, Ind. won the Non-Finalist Academic Award.

The Miss 网曝门 Pageant鈥攚hich was honored with an award from the Miss Louisiana Organization for providing more scholarship money than any other pageant in Louisiana鈥攊s a preliminary to the Miss Louisiana Pageant, sponsored by 网曝门鈥檚 Campus Activities Board.

The competitive scholarship program emphasizes physical fitness, talent, public speaking, and academics. Contestants must demonstrate poise, personality, intelligence, and charm during the pageant, and must showcase a trained talent in a 90-second performance.

Miss 网曝门 scholarship awards

Miss 网曝门 receives a scholarship which covers full basic tuition, a private, one-bedroom on-campus apartment, an award from the bookstore worth $300, a two-semester meal plan awarded by the Campus Activities Board, and a $4,500 cash prize awarded by the Student Government Association.

First runner-up: receives a two-semester tuition scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.

Second runner-up: receives a one semester tuition scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.

Third runner-up: receives a one-time $1000 scholarship from the Student Government Association.

Fourth runner-up: receives a one-time $750 scholarship from the Student Government Association.

Advertisement Sales winner: receives a one-time $250 scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.

People鈥檚 Choice winner: receives a one-time $250 scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.

Miss Congeniality winner: receives a one-time $250 scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.

Non-Finalist Academic winner: receives a one-time $250 scholarship from the Campus Activities Board.
