CARES Act Report March 31, 2022 (1st Quarter)

As part of the agreement ÍøÆØÃÅ signed with the U.S. Department of Education, ÍøÆØÃÅ pledged to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received underÌýCRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

A total ofÌý$11,916,539.00 (Ìý$2,888,882.00 HEERF II andÌý$9,027,657 HEERF III)Ìýhas been designated for distribution to students in the form of Emergency Financial Aid Grants underÌýCRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

On February 9th, 2022,ÍøÆØÃÅ awarded additional American Rescue Plan Act aid in the amount of $3,530,650.00 to 6466 students bringing the total disbursed to current ÍøÆØÃÅ students to $8,975,150.00 for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 terms. $60,082.00 of the fall disbursement completed the awarding of the $2,888,882.00 awarded as HEERF II.Ìý $8,915,068.00 of the $9,027,657 HEERF III funds awarded to ÍøÆØÃÅ have also been disbursed. Because funds were limited, aid was distributed to eligible students with the greatest financial need based on current financial aid information.

The following email was sent to students prior to funds being disbursed.

ÍøÆØÃÅ received an allocation of funds from the US Department of Education to support students who have been impacted by COVID 19.ÌýÌýÍøÆØÃÅ will beÌýpostingÌýthese funds, referred to asÌýHEERF III funds,Ìýto eligible studentÌýaccountsÌýon Tuesday, February 8, 2022.ÌýAccording to federal guidelines, funds will be distributed based on financial need.ÌýÌýNoÌýaction isÌýrequiredÌýon your part to apply.ÌýÌýThis will be the last of the HEERF III fund disbursements.

If you are eligible to receive relief funds,ÌýÌýactual distribution of those funds will occurÌýby Wednesday, February 9, 2022 . The award will not be applied against tuition or any balance you owe to the university; however, if you want to authorize ÍøÆØÃÅ to apply these funds to your universityÌýbalanceÌýplease see below.
