网曝门 alum, instructor and West Monroe dentist receives distinguished service award
University of Louisiana at Monroe alum Dr. L. King Scott, (B.S. '75) of West Monroe, received the Louisiana Dental Association's Distinguished Service Award.
His award was recently presented during the 133rd House of Delegates of the LDA's annual session at the Shreveport Convention Center.
Scott鈥攁 part time instructor of Head and Neck Anatomy in 网曝门's Dental Hygiene Program鈥攕poke candidly about his university experiences and attributed much of his success to the education he received at 网曝门.
"I received a fabulous education at 网曝门," he said.
"网曝门 prepared me well for professional school. I try to instill into my students the same attributes that were instilled in me at 网曝门; excellence, setting goals, and following through. To this day, I still recommend 网曝门 to high school students because 网曝门 is such a great university with a long history in health sciences."
According to Annette B. Droddy, assistant executive director of the LDA, "The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor bestowed by the LDA and is given annually to individual members who exemplify the highest standards of professional conduct in dentistry and make extraordinary contributions in organized dentistry and their community."
Dr. Kirt Touchstone (B.B.A. '75), presented the award to King, a dentist in West Monroe.
Touchstone is a 1975 网曝门 College of Business graduate who attended LSU Dental School with King.
