Career Connections to host Education Majors Career Fair April 17

The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Office of Career Connections will host its Education Majors Career Fair from 1-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, on the second floor of the Student Union Building.

The fair is open to education and speech-language pathology majors and alumni.

Over 30 school districts from across the region are scheduled to visit campus to recruit students for teaching or various educational positions.

Professional dress is required. No jeans or denim of any kind is allowed.

“The Fair provides a wonderful opportunity for our College of Education and Human Development majors, Speech-Language Pathology majors and alumni to gather at one location on campus to network and interview with school districts from Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas,” said Roslynn Pogue, Director of the Office of Career Connections.

“Recruiters are drawn to every year because of the quality and academic preparedness these students exude when discussing career opportunities with them.”

Student teachers will also be required to have resumes in hand. Portfolios are also welcome but not required.

Students must register online to attend, and registration ends at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 16.
