ÍøÆØÃÅ's Dining Services to launch Coca-Cola Freestyle; release party Feb. 1
Nearly a century after introducing bottled soda, The Coca-Cola Company has again reinvented its distribution process.
Consumers will get the chance to experience Coca-Cola Freestyle, making ÍøÆØÃÅ the first university in Louisiana to offer this product.
Coca-Cola Freestyle is a revolutionary, new fountain dispenser from The Coca-Cola Company that reinvigorates the fountain category by offering consumers more than 100 branded beverages.
These sleek, stylish touch screen fountains represent a complete departure from anything consumers have experienced.
Fans can get up close and personal Wed., Feb. 1, from 12-2 p.m. at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Freestyle Red Carpet Release Party, to be held at the Student Union Building.
A number of contests and specials will be offered at the event, including: the Mr./Miss Red & White Contest – the winner will be the face of ÍøÆØÃÅ's Coke Freestyle with a free photo shoot and picture in the SUB for Spring 2012; a Mixologist Contest, a Freestyle Jingle Jam; a $5 All You Can Drink Wristband Special for the day; and many other giveaways and prizes, though winners must be present to win.
There will be a live DJ courtesy of DJPhame, and guests may stop by the Dance Star booth to play a round of The Black-eyed Pea Experience.
Students, faculty, staff, and visitors will enjoy more than 100 beverage brands in the Student Union Building on campus.
ÍøÆØÃÅ Aramark Food Services Director Robert Hoag said, "We're committed to enhancing our overall dining experience. Coca-Cola Freestyle brings fun and excitement to our beverage offerings and gives our guests a unique interactive beverage experience."
The City of Monroe—home of ÍøÆØÃÅ—has a unique tie to The Coca-Cola Company: it was also home to Joseph A. Biedenharn, the first person to bottle Coca-Cola.
Biedenharn's breakthough transitioned Coca-Cola from a soda fountain into a bottle, reinventing the Coca-Cola distribution process.
