ÍøÆØÃÅ's Berry to train legislators on insurance matters
University of Louisiana at Monroe's Dr. Christine Berry, associate professor of Risk Management and Insurance, has been asked by the Griffith Institute to provide training to members of the Louisiana legislature on insurance matters.
The seminar, set to begin Monday, Feb. 13, at 9 a.m. at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, will feature Berry and University of Louisiana at Lafayette faculty member Dr. William L. Ferguson.
Berry's lectures include "The Business of Insurance, Regulation and Public Policy," which includes risk management and insurance regulation, and "Property and Liability Insurance," which focuses on property and liability risks as well as negligence and the tort system.
"The Griffith Foundation has a national reputation for providing insurance education to insurance policymakers," explained Berry. "It is an honor and privilege to be able to participate in the seminar."
The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) educational institution that promotes the study and teaching of risk management and insurance.
The foundation offers risk management and insurance education programs, as well as provides resources for students, teachers, academic institutions, and public policymakers.
