ÍøÆØÃÅ’s Branson graduates from Monroe Chamber of Commerce 2011 Leadership Ouachita program
Katrina Branson, assistant director of Human Resources at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently became a graduate of Monroe Chamber of Commerce 2011 Leadership Ouachita program.
Branson participated in the nine-month long class that prepares emerging leaders for strategic positions in local and state government to work toward solutions that will improve the quality of life in the community.
According to the Monroe Chamber, “The purpose of the program is to develop and empower the emerging leaders of northeast Louisiana to transform the region into a place recognized as one of the best places to live and do business.â€
ÍøÆØÃÅ Director of Development Anne Lockhart stated, “As a long-serving member of Leadership Ouachita Advisory Council, I have had the opportunity to review hundreds of wonderful applicants of this excellent leadership program, many of whom have been employees of ÍøÆØÃÅ. I am very proud of our 2011 Leadership Ouachita graduate, Katrina Branson. By aspiring to learn more about the community we serve, Katrina now has true understanding of the partnership we share. That partnership is certainly enhanced with Katrina’s leadership talent and spirit of commitment. “
Currently working on her doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration, Branson continues to support local efforts to enhance the university community.
She currently serves as the ÍøÆØÃÅ Staff Senate secretary, ÍøÆØÃÅ United Way Campaign chair, United Way community investment volunteer, Business & Professional Women webmaster, and Northeast Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management member.
