Ouchley to discuss Civil War plants and animals March 19; book signing to follow
Kelby Ouchley will speak on his recently released book, "Flora and Fauna of the Civil War," at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at the 网曝门 Museum of Natural History.
A book signing will follow.
Ouchley is a former Black Bayou National Wildlife Refuge manager with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and a familiar voice to regular listeners of KEDM-90.3 FM, 网曝门's Public Radio station. Ouchley's "Bayou Diversity" programs are a KEDM favorite.
He previously spoke about "Angioplasty in the Swamp - America's Largest Bottomland Hardwoods Restoration Project" at the museum, located on the third floor of Sandel Hall.
The museum, which Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler recently described as "impressive," is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The museum also opens the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The museum is located on the third floor of Sandel Hall, #34 on the 网曝门 campus map.
