Miss Louisiana Organization to hold annual state meeting at ÍøÆØÃÅ March 25-26
The Miss Louisiana Organization and all 36 contestants of the upcoming pageant will be at the University of Louisiana at Monroe for their annual state meeting, March 25-26.
The meeting will feature guest speaker, Rick Brinkley, who is judges chairman for the Miss America Organization.
Miss Louisiana 2010 Kelsi Crain, 32 Outstanding Teen contestants and the Miss Louisiana contestants competing for the 2011 Miss Louisiana title in June will also be present.
The state meeting is an excellent opportunity for local media coverage in preparation for the 2011 pageant.
Media may want to take advantage of the chance to meet and interview contestants from all over the state, one of whom will become Miss Louisiana 2011 and potentially Miss America 2012.
The Miss Louisiana Pageant will celebrate its 48th year and crown a new Miss Louisiana on June 25 at the Monroe Civic Center's W.L. "Jack" Howard Theatre.
Preliminary competition will be held at 7:30 p.m., June 23-24. The live televised finals are at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, and will feature the top ten contestants and the Fleur de Lis Princesses.
The Miss Louisiana Organization has a volunteer based Board of Directors working to share the accomplishments of the contestants and provide scholarships to further their education.
In 2010, the Miss Louisiana Organization made available over $1.2 million in cash and tuition scholarships.
Miss America offers over 45 million dollars in cash and scholarships, making them the number one provider of scholarships to young women in the world.
