网曝门 continues to expand online degree offerings
The University of Louisiana at Monroe has added a Bachelor of Arts in French to its growing list of online degree offerings.
The degree will be offered through the 网曝门 Gold program, Gateway to OnLine Degrees, and is the newest of many exciting new programs.
"The development of an online degree program in French offers our department the opportunity to reach out to students, wherever they may live, and offer them the possibility of developing their skills in a language which is so important to Louisiana, the nation, and the world," said Foreign Languages Department Head Dr. Ruth Smith.
The BA in French is a 120 hour undergraduate online degree. Students will be required to take 30 hours in the language above the elementary (1001 and 1002) level.
The department seeks to ensure that students, at the time of graduation, have a reading, writing, and verbal comprehension of the language at an advanced level as defined by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages.
"We look forward to exploring new forms of interaction and active learning that are made possible within the online environment and that we believe lend themselves well to language study," said Associate Professor of Foreign Languages Chris Michaelides.
Students who have studied a language for two or more years are strongly encouraged to take a credit or placement exam before beginning their language studies at 网曝门.
The placement exam helps students to determine which courses are most suitable to their backgrounds.
