Annual Business Symposium to be held Oct. 27-29
The ÍøÆØÃÅ College of Business Administration has announced its schedule for the annual Business Symposium to be held Oct. 27-29 on the University of Louisiana at Monroe Campus.
The keynote presentation, open to the public, is scheduled 11 a.m. – noon Friday, Oct. 29, in Brown Auditorium, and features Erik Wahl, who has delivered talks to companies such as IBM, Accenture, Disney, Frito Lay, Lockheed Martin, State Farm and Allstate.
His presentation, titled "The Art of Vision," challenges organizations to discover their untapped potential through innovative strategies by managing rapid changes and through visionary leadership. One of his primary themes is leveraging chaos to create opportunity, appropriate for this year's Symposium and for students in higher education.
The Symposium provides an avenue for intellectual exchange between our students and business professionals. Since 2004, the program has brought nearly 100 successful alumni and friends back to campus to meet with students, faculty and community members. The theme of the 2010 Business Symposium is "Innovation."
The College of Business invites the public to campus for the Symposium events and for ÍøÆØÃÅ's Homecoming activities.
For more information about the Symposium, contact Dean Ron Berry at rberry@ulm.edu or at 318-342-1100.
