Jaden Leach crowned Miss 网曝门 2011

Jaden Leach, an elementary education major from West Monroe, was crowned the new Miss University of Louisiana at Monroe at the Miss 网曝门 Pageant Oct. 7 in Brown Auditorium.

Leach's scholastic honors include National Honor Society, Scholar's Banquet and she is a recipient of 网曝门 Academics Scholarship and Louisiana TOPS Scholarship. Leach has chosen to succeed in the Miss America Pageant because of her admiration of the organizations involvement in the Children's Miracle Network. She dreams of making a difference in children's lives through her platform "Children at Risk" and Children's Miracle Network.

Other winners include:

First runner-up is Brittany Jordan, 21, a senior mass communication major from Calhoun.

Her leadership roles include 网曝门 Campus Activities Board Public Relations Officer, 网曝门 PREP Staff, 网曝门 PREP Leader, 网曝门 PREP Student Assistant, Campus Involvement Chair for Kappa Delta Sorority, Mortar Board Member, Student Government Association Senator, University 101 Peer Leader and 网曝门 Hawkseekers.

Originally interested in the medical field, Jordan hopes to share her struggles to inspire confidence in today's youth through her experience; her platform is "Instilling Confidence through Student Involvement."

Second runner-up is Nicole Tucker, 21, of Tyler, Texas. She is a kinesiology major and plans to get her teacher certification. Tucker is on the 网曝门 Dean's list and belongs to the Maroon and Gold Society.

Third runner-up and winner of Advertisement Sales is Kylie Stracener, 19, of Calhoun. She is a sophomore nursing major. Stracener is one of six siblings and says that her family has helped shaped her dreams and aspirations. Both parents are involved in the community and always encouraged Stracener to do her best.

Fourth runner-up is Kristen Meier, 18, of Longview, Texas. She is a pharmacy major and hopes to one day achieve a doctorate. Meier is the recipient of the Z-Club Scholarship as well as the Academic Excellence Scholarship.

Susan Robinson, 20, was awarded Miss Congenialty and a non-finalist academic award. She is a junior elementary education major from West Monroe. Her scholastic accomplishments include receiving the Claiborne Elementary Scholarship, Jason Cameron Scholarship and Louisiana TOPS Scholarship. Robinson has chosen to promote her platform "Healthy and Happy Kids." Robinson says her mother's involvement in the school system has helped shape her dreams and aspirations. She hopes to someday have an impact on the lives of children like her mother.

Hilary Arbogast, 19, is a history major and plans to practice law as a prosecuting attorney. Arbogast, of Olla, is the recipient of TOPS, 网曝门's Academic Scholarship and $1,000 for a one-time academic scholarship from Louisiana State University.

Heather Clapp, 20, is from Bossier City. She is an elementary education major and a recipient of 网曝门 Academic Scholarship and Louisiana TOPS scholarship. Clapp's scholastic ambition is to become a second grade teacher. Clapp's platform is "Teachers aware, Parents share, Students care, and Grades compare."

Maura Mitchell, 20, of Monroe. She is a health sciences major and plans on obtaining a Masters of Speech-Language Pathology. Mitchell is the recipient of the Tuition Opportunity Program for Students Scholarship and the University of Louisiana at Monroe Academic Recognition Scholarship.

Ciera Paul, 20, is a mass communication major with intentions of becoming a sportscaster. The New Orleans native is the recipient of the Jefferson Dollars for Scholars award and 网曝门's Academic Scholarship award.

Miss 网曝门 serves as the official hostess of 网曝门 and represents the school at the Miss Louisiana Pageant.
