网曝门 expands online offerings with new bachelor's degree in history

For those who love to learn about the past while preparing for the future, the University of Louisiana at Monroe has added a Bachelor of Arts in History to its numerous online offerings. The coursework is offered through 网曝门's GOLD program, Gateway to OnLine Degrees

"Students pursing history degrees develop their research and critical analysis skills as they seek to understand the past based on the discovery of available information," said Brown. "And the opportunities for history graduates are multiple. It is sometimes surprising for people to discover how many types of businesses recruit history majors because of the analytical skills the students have honed."

Beginning in the spring 2011 semester, three upper-level, undergraduate history courses will be offered entirely online: U.S. Military History 1865 to present, The American Frontier and Revolutionary France. From the development of the U.S. Military to the influence of the frontier on American institutions, to the political, social and economic changes in France through 1871, history courses such as these draw interest from students interested in a wide variety of jobs.

"History can prepare you for a career in such fields as law, public relations, journalism, publishing, counseling, education, foreign affairs, and state and federal civil service," said Robyn Jordan, coordinator of accelerated learning at 网曝门.
