National media outlet features work of 网曝门鈥檚 College of Education and Human Development Nov. 18 - 19

The University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Education and Human Development will be featured on a national media outlet Nov. 18 - 19.

The nationwide broadcast is American Public Media鈥檚 Marketplace program, and it airs locally from 5:30-6 p.m. on 网曝门鈥檚 public radio station, KEDM 90.3 F.M. and on KEDM3 (digital HD Radio) at 5 p.m.

Those who are regular public radio listeners are already familiar with the quality of the show and will want to listen as Marketplace鈥檚 Education Reporter Amy Scott reports her findings following a campus visit on Oct. 26-27. Scott met with CEHD Dean Sandra Lemoine and other officials, as well as 网曝门 students. Scott was interviewed by KEDM News Director Bob Lenox about the visit.

Scott told Lenox that she was interested in finding out more about the curriculum redesign model that 网曝门 education officials implemented. She noted that one thing that stood out about the 网曝门 program was the amount of time students spend in the classroom before even becoming teachers, putting Louisiana far ahead of education curve. Scott said that education is the driving force of economy, so MarketPlace producers are always on the look out to showcase success stories.

Marketplace is produced in Los Angeles by American Public Media, in association with the University of Southern California.
