fashion-wear gets “slick” with new rain boots

The University of Louisiana at Monroe is offering new Warhawk rain boots, its latest edition to the campus fashion world. The boots are on sale now in the Bookstore and retail for around $25.

Much time and energy went into creating a boot that would be not only foul-weather friendly, but also student approved, making them a “must-have” item that is sure to make a splash on any rainy occasion.

Laura Daniel, development officer, revealed the story behind the rain boots, stating that many people, including First Lady Deborah Cofer and Webmaster Rob Glaze, “did so much in getting this project off the ground.”

According to Daniel, student opinion polls were taken on potential designs during some interior design classes, while sorority members and other campus groups also provided input. Glaze took the suggestions and developed the design of the boot, said Daniel.
