Bystander Response Training offered to 网曝门 family Dec. 7-8
The Violence Prevention and Intervention Program is providing, for the first time, official Bystander Response Training to the 网曝门 family. Certified instructors will provide training authorized by the Office on Violence against Women. The training uses something known as the Green Dot Model for addressing issues related to dating violence and sexual assault.
Information and techniques for volunteers to give assistance in a legally sound and physically safe manner will be provided during this first level of training for those who will eventually serve as peer support members.
Each day's training is divided into two parts for a total of four training sections. Participants must attend at least one morning and one afternoon session to be fully trained.
All students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend by choosing from the following sessions in the Student Union Ballroom: 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. on Dec. 7, or 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8.
Each morning section and each afternoon section is identical in content. These sections will consist of bystander training and also incorporate 网曝门's updated policy.
