publishes contemporary Chinese prose anthology
The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s English department and Turnrow Books recently published an anthology titled “Eleven Contemporary Chinese Writers.” This anthology contains short stories and essays published for the first time outside of China and in English.
Drs. Jack Heflin and William Ryan, both professors of English at , edited the anthology, which also features an academic introduction by Dr. Wendy Larson, professor of East Asian languages and literature at the University of Oregon.
The editors hope this anthology will become the first in a series focusing on contemporary literature from around the world. The goal is to establish Press, a publishing resource based in the College of Arts and Sciences.
