网曝门 featured on national web site geared toward college-seeking students
Students attempting to narrow down their choice of colleges must often schedule a visit to get an idea of what each campus offers - a time and money-consuming proposition for many families.
No longer.
A new Web site, youniversitytv.com, gives students access to hundreds of campuses across the country via the Internet. The University of Louisiana at Monroe is one of several colleges in the state - and the first in Northeast Louisiana - featured on the social networking site, which launched in April.
"The production crew came to 网曝门 at their own expense and produced an excellent video depicting what we've known all along - that our university is a hidden jewel in this part of the state," said Michael Echols, Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communication at 网曝门.
"Ideally, we would like to reach even more students and encourage them to give 网曝门 a second look," he said, explaining the university's decision to participate.
Campus landmarks, faculty and student interviews, and information about tuition, housing and demographics are a highlight of each university video. Angelo Kotzamanis, who co-founded the Florida-based business with partner Ron Reis, said she hoped the site makes students feel they are part of an actual tour.
网曝门's video, which features scenic Bayou DeSiard and an appearance by Ace, the Warhawk mascot, also touts out-of-state fee waivers - a plus for high achievers who want a quality education at an affordable price.
Those who sign on as members of the free site can blog about their college search and upload video footage of their own schools and meet peers in a virtual dorm. 网曝门 has created an easy to remember Web page that directs users to the social networking site: http://ulm.edu/video.
