Palmer edits upcoming book

Dr. Jack A. Palmer, professor of psychology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, will serve as science and technical editor of an upcoming book titled Science, Wisdom and the Future: Humanity’s Quest for a Flourishing Earth.

Collins Foundation Press will publish the book in 2010.

In it, Palmer and his co-editors (C. Genet, L. Palmer, L. Gibler, and R. Genet) bring together leaders in physics, business, psychology, history and the arts to address what modern science, combined with traditional wisdom, can tell us about creating a flourishing, sustainable future for humanity. Palmer teaches Positive Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Neurophysiology, and Evolutionary Psychology in ’s College of Education and Human Development. This is his 21st year of serving . His writings are dedicated to helping others understand the complexities of scientific psychology and the ways in which humanity can optimize its potential through this knowledge.
