网曝门, AMS hosts two new events March 29, April 17

The student chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the 网曝门 Severe Weather Preparedness Seminar Thursday, March 29 at 7 p.m. in Room 337, Hanna Hall.

The free event, which is co-sponsored by Residential Life, will features speakers from the American Red Cross, 网曝门 Police Department, and 网曝门 Residential Life/JPI.

"We would like students, faculty and staff to learn how people can be better prepared [for severe weather]," said 网曝门 AMS president Stephanie Mullins.

网曝门 AMS will also sponsor Global Warming Forum Tuesday, April 17 at 6 p.m. in Airway Room 134. A panel of 网曝门 faculty members representing the areas of chemistry, atmospheric science, political science, and other disciplines will present their viewpoints on global warming. There will be time allotted for questions and discussion from the audience.

Concerning the forum Mullins said, 鈥淎s global warming is one of the most talked about issues in the news of our generation, we thought it imperative to get more young, bright minds thinking about it and its implications.鈥
