“Where’s the Flag,” as the team is locally known, consists of an 11-student co-ed team who participate in the fall intramural activity.

“This team has played together for a number of years,” said Mackie Ashton, coordinator of intramurals. “For the last three or four years, we’ve reached the finals. We have a reputation for having one of the top programs around the country.”

began participating in the co-recreational division in 1985, when it won its first national championship.

The university hosted the state tournament in November 2006 and simultaneously won at that level for the 11th time.

The national tournament has occurred for 28 years. It originated in New Orleans. Excepting a two-year break due to Hurricane Katrina, it is always played there, and will return in December 2007.
