Delta Sigma Phi returns with awards from national convention

The Delta Sigma Phi organization at the University of Louisiana at Monroe returned with several awards won at their national convention, held this year July 18 – 21 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Bryan Creekmore, a junior psychology major from West Monroe, and David Elahi, a freshman biology major from Monroe and the chapter’s new member educator, attended.

Creekmore, the chapter president, won the Order of the Sphinx Award, given to undergraduates who have shown exemplary service to Delta Sigma Phi on a local and national level. The chapter won the Robert R. Harris Award, earned by those who show extraordinary achievement in the area of member growth.

“These awards mean a lot to our chapter because we have all worked so hard to make the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity on 's campus a place where young men can come and grow as citizens, students, and leaders,” Creekmore said. “This award is nice to show to our members, alumni, and potential new members, that great things are happening in Delta Sigma Phi.”
