Congressman Jindal Visits 网曝门, Talks About Health Care Expertise on Campus

Louisiana Congressman Bobby Jindal addressed a group of faculty, staff and students at the University of Louisiana at Monroe this afternoon.

Jindal spoke about health care concerns in the state of Louisiana and how 网曝门 is helping with those concerns through training future health care professionals.

"I applaud you for your work," Jindal said. "Tomorrow's medical cures are being researched here. You are leading the way--certainly, you're known for many areas, but especially for medical research."

He also acknowledged that the future of pharmacy and medical students would involve collaborative subjects and also that chronic care patients would be a particularly large focus of the medical boom.

Before Jindal spoke, he heard from 网曝门's Dean of the College of Education and Human Development, Dr. Luke Thomas, about the importance of the upcoming National CARE (Children and Rural Education) Conference hosted by 网曝门. The conference, a result of a $200,000 grant received from the National Science Foundation, will focus on rural education. It will be April 3rd-5th and will address topics such as organizing every school for teaching and learning success, insisting on quality teacher preparation, and program accreditation.

The crowd was also addressed by Dr. Lamar Pritchard, Dean of the 网曝门 College of Health Sciences and Dean of the School of Pharmacy, with an overview of accomplishments in his departments.
