网曝门 Hurricane Katrina FAQ
FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED AFTER HURRICANE KATRINA:
1. Q: Is 网曝门 accepting/enrolling students?
A: The university is currently enrolling any eligible students for the Spring 2006 semester, but no longer for the Fall 2005 semester.
Any student currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning is eligible to enroll at 网曝门.
Call Recruitment and Admissions at 318-342-5430 or email Lisa Miller at lmiller@ulm.edu.
2. Q: When I enroll at 网曝门, is there any financial assistance available?
A: Various organizations will be providing financial aid. We are currently working with Sallie Mae, USA Funds, and the Department of Education concerning financial assistance. More information will be posted here when it becomes available.
3. Q: How do I know if I'm eligible for financial assistances?
A. Students need to go by the
Financial Aid Office on the first floor of the Administration
Building and start the process of qualifying for additional assistance.
4. Q: Is there any room for graduate or undergraduate students or faculty to live on campus?
A: Our on-campus housing is currently
filled to capacity.
5. Q: I am a college professor looking for work. Are you hiring?
A: Please contact the Provost's
Office at 318-342-1025.
6. Q: I need a place to stay. Do you have any contacts on off-campus housing?
A: Please call 网曝门's Residential
Life at 318-342-5240. We have limited information, but may be
able to help.

Q: Can my family live with me in student housing?
A: Our residential facilities are not equipped for families. If you need assistance finding a place to live, please contact the United Way by dialing 211 or Residential Life at 318-342-5240.
8. Q: I am a Pharmacy student at Xavier, can I enroll at 网曝门 College of Pharmacy?
A: The Pharmacy Accrediting Board has informed us that we must get the permission of the administration at Xavier before enrolling any of the Xavier students. We are waiting on some contact from Xavier. We recommend that Xavier students try to contact their institution.
FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED BEFORE HURRICANE KATRINA
1. Q: I am currently a student at 网曝门. How will all these changes affect me?
A: Please understand that this is a national crisis, especially for the state of Louisiana. At 网曝门 we will continue to maintain our "students first" policy. Please help us by understanding that we'll have to work together and that you are our top priority. If you would like additional information, please contact our volunteer crisis coordinator, Deborah Cofer at 342-7777 or e-mail her at studentsfirst@ulm.edu.
2. Q: I am a 网曝门 student and I want
to help. What can I do?
A: If you're a member of a student
organization and that organization wishes to volunteer in the
community, please contact Amy Weems at 318-342-5286.
If you are interested in helping 网曝门 students affected by Katrina, contact Deborah Cofer at 318-342-7777 or e-mail her at studentsfirst@ulm.edu.
3. Q: Where do I go to get counseling?
A: 网曝门 students, faculty, and
staff are welcomed to call the 网曝门 Counseling Center. For emergency,
after-hours counseling, call the 网曝门 police at 318-342-5350 and
they'll contact a counselor for you.
4. Q: I am a 网曝门 student and I've
run out of resources (cash, food, etc.) Is there help for me
and my family?
A: Yes, first contact the United
Way emergency number at 211.
If you need help with paying for tuition,
room, and board please contact Cori Scroggins in Student Billing
at 318-342-5123, or our Controller, Diane Singletary at 318-342-5108.
If you need a job or funds for school related expenses please
contact your financial aid counselor, http://finaid.ulm.edu/contactus.html
