网曝门 Professor Named ASB President-Elect

At the 66th annual meeting of the Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) in Florence, Ala., recently, Dr. Kim Marie Tolson, professor of biology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was selected as "President-Elect."

"This is a prestigious honor," said David Roane, head of the biology department at 网曝门.

Tolson, as well as four 网曝门 students, presented the results of their research. Tolson and graduate student, Michael J. Baranski, showcased a poster displaying an avian phenology study of two wildlife management areas in northeast Louisiana. Tolson and graduate student Amanda D. Carroll discussed the effects of silviculture and hydrological practices on breeding bird communities in northeast Louisiana.

Also at the event, graduate student John David White presented a poster highlighting the distribution and diversity of freshwater gastropods in Bayou Bartholomew, Ark.

Undergraduate student Jennifer M. Wyles and assistant biology professor Kerry Heafner discussed a phytogeographic and taxonomic assessment of Isoetes butleri Engelmann (Isoetaceae) in North America.
