The University of Louisiana at Monroe Summer Commencement
MONROE, La.--The University of Louisiana
at Monroe will award diplomas to 311 students during summer commencement
exercises to be held at 2 p.m. in Fant-Ewing Coliseum on campus.
ÍøÆØÃÅ President James E. Cofer Sr. will confer degrees and award
diplomas. Dr. Jeffery Galle, head of the Department of English
at ÍøÆØÃÅ, will deliver the commencement address.
Top graduates are Trinitee Gale Green Hattaway of Farmerville
and Jeanne Roy Pichoff of Centerville. Both graduated with perfect
4.0 grade point averages. Hattaway, who is the wife of Jesse
Hattaway and the daughter of Gene and Gale Green, received a
bachelor of business administration in accounting. Pichoff, who
is the wife of Dexter Pichoff Jr. and the daughter of Cheryl
and Joseph Roy, received a bachelor of science in occupational
therapy.
Honor graduates will be recognized during the ceremonies. They
are designated as summa cum laude (3.900-4.000), magna cum laude
(3.750-3.899) and cum laude (3.500-3.749).
