ÍøÆØÃÅ Professor Contributes to Book

Dr. Joe Saunders, professor of archeology at ÍøÆØÃÅ, was recently involved in the editing, and expanding of a book on historical archeology in Louisiana and Arkansas. The book, entitled The Louisiana and Arkansas Expeditions of Clarence Bloomfield Moore, is a reprint of the 1909, 1912, and 1913 volumes by C.B. Moore.

Saunders' contribution to the project was to update the information that Moore had originally provided about sites in northeast Louisiana and southcentral Arkansas. He also added an original introduction to the material. For the project, Saunders' revisited around 40 sites in Louisiana, including sites on the Ouachita River, Bayou Bartholomew, and Bayou D'Arbonne.

The book is currently available through the University of Alabama Press.
