Week of Welcome (wow) activities
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will hold its first-ever
"Week of Welcome" activities to help welcome new and
returning students to campus. The theme of the event is "Walk
with Us". All WOW activities are free to students with valid
ID's. The schedule is listed below.
Taking Your First Steps
Move In Mania
Saturday, August 23
All Residence Halls
10 a.m.
Campus administrators, faculty, staff student groups and
网曝门 athletes will welcome students to their new "home away
from home". There will be help available for moving and
refreshments will be served.
Welcome Back Picnic & Dance
Fant-Ewing Coliseum
5 p.m.
Students and their families are invited to join 网曝门 administrators,
faculty, staff and local businesses for a back-to-school bash.
Each student may bring two guests. Additional guests are $5
each. Reservations are required; please visit our website to

Getting Your Feet Wet
Pool Party
Sunday, August 24
Oxford Natatorium
7 p.m.
Meet in the Oxford Natatorium to eat and mingle with other
students.
Dive-In Movie
Oxford Natatorium
Sunday, August 24
8:30 p.m.
Recreational Services and Campus Activities Board (CAB) present
a movie at the Natatorium. Bring a towel, a float, kick your
shoes off and dive-in.

to mark the beginning of Convocation.

5 p.m.
Celebrate the start of the academic year and join us for this
ceremony as the Classes of 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 are recognized.
All students are encouraged to attend Convocation.
Grovestock
Monday, August 25 (First Day of Classes)
The Grove
6 p.m.
Sponsored by CAB, this party in "The Grove" is
sure to help you get your groove on. Volleyball, a cookout and
a concert are just some of the fun activities planned.

Canoe Races

By the volleyball courts on the bayou
6 p.m.
Take part in the WOW Canoe races- race fellow students, faculty
and staff. There will be lots of things to do out of the water
too. So bring yourself, your roommate, your children and head
over to the Bayou.

On the Road Again

网曝门 vs. LSU Road Trip
It's time to take our show on the road! Hop on the bus and
cruise with us to Baton Rouge. We'll tailgate and cheer on the
Indians. Students must sign up for this activity in advance and
there is a charge that covers- bus ride, game ticket, tailgate
food.
